Maria Lopez

Maria Soledad Lopez, 62 years old, passed away on November 5, 2021.  Maria was born in Cuidad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico on May 16, 1959 to Jose Jesus Arizpe and Aurelia Rodriguez, as the third of seven children.  She moved to Texas with her siblings in her late teens and began a career as a seamstress.  There, she met her co-worker's brother and future husband, Gildardo Lopez.  They married in September 8, 1978 and raised their four children together in Houston, TX.  She worked and made life long friends in JCP for 24 years, as well.  And then, she finally opened her own tailor business, Gild's Tailor Shop; and kept working on until this past summer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Matthew Salinas; sister Aurelia Barrera; brother-in-law Jose Rodarte.  Maria is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Gildardo Lopez; daughter Mariela Ramirez, son-in-law Daniel, daughter Nelda Salinas, son-in-law Andrew , son Jose Lopez, daughter-in-law Monica, son Alejandro Lopez.  Grandchildren Mayve Rodriguez, Lilibeth Rodriguez, Zachary Ramirez, Jose Lopez, Jr., Brandon Salinas, Mason Lopez, and Jacqueline Salinas.  Siblings Guadalupe Arizpe, Jose Arizpe, Alfonso Arizpe, Mariana Rodarte, Martin Arizpe; and other loving relatives and friends.
