Juan Gomez Rodriguez

Juan Gabriel Gomez Rodriguez, born in Reynosa, Mexico, was called home by the good Lord in Houston, Texas on August 7th, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Domingo “Pepo” Gomez Sosa.

Juan is survived by his faithful mother, Socorro Gomez Rodriguez. Honoring his memory are his caring wife of 20 years, Karla Olmedo-Gomez and his spirited daughter, Gabrielle Gomez. Cherished by his brother, Pablo Perez and sister-in-law Letty Perez, his sister Juana Richerson and brother-in-law Robert Richerson, and sister Laura Gomez; his nieces and nephews Priscilla Muniz, Bianca Taylor Richerson, Crystal N. Puente, Diego Treviño, Abigail Arroyo, Susana Perez, Joacim Perez, Pablo Perez Jr., Ezbai Perez, Jacklyn Santos, Jocelyn Santos; and his precious fur babies El Tio, Lilly, Jack, and Molly.

He loved his Astros baseball, Mexico soccer, and boxing. Jon enjoyed his tacos and shared his love for cooking with others. His quotes were, “Family First,” “Always be the bigger person,” “Te quiero,” “I love you,” and “Walk it off.” Juan Jon worked in the industrial hose business for 27 years beginning with South Houston Hose to Kanaflex Corporation.

Services will be held at Integrity Funeral Home 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston, TX 77075. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Chapel Service at 6:00 pm.
